Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How much could my jewelry be worth?

  • Value depends on metal purity, weight, and current market price for gold, diamond, and platinum. For diamonds, the 4Cs (cut, clarity, color, carat) matter most. Our appraisers will show you exactly how the number is calculated.

Question: Do I have to sell once you appraise it?

  • No. Appraisals are free, and there’s no obligation. We want you to know what your jewelry is worth — selling is your decision.

Question: Is there a fee for the appraisal?

  • Free. Always.

Question: How long does an appraisal take?

  • Usually 20–30 minutes per visit. Plan a little longer if you’re bringing in multiple pieces.

Question: What should I bring?

  • The jewelry, a photo ID, and original paperwork if you have it (we don’t require it).

Question: Are you a pawn shop?

  • No. We’re Hawaii’s 4th-generation family jeweler. Our appraisal process is private, transparent, and tied to current market rates — not a discounted "pawn" valuation.
